Direct Sales
About Direct Sales
Single-level marketing (in which a direct seller makes money by purchasing goods from a parent company and selling them straight to clients) and multi-level marketing are both types of direct selling (in which the direct seller may earn money from both direct sales to customers and by sponsoring new direct sellers and potentially earning a commission from their efforts).
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) states that "direct selling is a general phrase that embraces a number of business formats founded on person-to-person selling in venues other than a retail establishment, such as social media platforms or the home of the salesperson or prospective consumer."
Why is Direct Sales important?
Since they work directly with clients, direct sellers frequently benefit from training in sales, customer service, and marketing. This offers several opportunities for new and emerging merchants to hone their abilities. Personal interaction with consumers is the cornerstone of direct sales. It enables reps to treat each customer uniquely and establish enduring bonds with them.
